ABOUT
From the Beginning
I've started working as a creative ever since middle school where I first learned the basics of photoshop and where I won my first award for my art. Getting a silver key in the Scholastic Art Awards may not be much for others but to my young self it meant being recognized and the possibility of having a career in the field. Ever since, I've focused my attention on broadening my view and skills to be more capable and equipped for the changing world around me.
I was born in the poor town of San Fernando in Bogota, Colombia. I came to the United States when I was seven with my mother and sister who both knew zero English. I became the translator of the house as well as the person in charge of opening the door and dealing with authority. We were illegal immigrants for the first two years we came to the country until we applied for sanctuary in 2010 and were granted residency.
Now ever since 2015, I'm a fully fledged citizen of the United States and a simple college student who is trying to start their career in the creative business. I have little experience and only a certificate in Photoshop but I've been a hard worker ever since I was born and am determined to give me and my family a better place to live.
